Not all self-defense situations, especially those involving handguns, always occur during daylight hours. Statistically, self-defense/use of force situations are in reduced or diminished light environments. Knowing and understanding the importance of proper light utilization will increase your abilities to make quick, accurate decisions for proper target/threat identification, navigation, control and potential de-escalation to increase your chance of survival. This course is designed as an introduction to low light techniques, proper light selection, using light as a deterrent, threat identification and more.

Course Objectives
Proper Equipment Selection – Handheld light – Weapon Mounted Light
Using light as a control technique
Proper techniques utilizing the handheld light while shooting
Transitioning from handheld, to weapon mounted light
Weapon mounted light techniques
Use of light around objects/cover

Equipment Needed
Reliable handgun with at least 3 magazines
Holster and magazine pouch to carry at least one reload on your person and another magazine in your pocket
200 rounds of Ammunition
Every student will need a handheld flashlight
Weapon mounted light – strongly recommended but not required
Charged batteries in weapon mounted and handheld lights
Extra Batteries
Clear eye protection – Ear Protection – electronic preferred but not required.
Black Sharpie, Notepad and Pen
An open mind.

*** This course of instruction is an introduction to low light techniques and Principles. Students should have a solid foundation of the fundamentals of marksmanship and one-handed shooting. ***

Registration Policy and Terms:
Due to the unknown nature of scheduling, along with maintaining a minimum student count, a 50% refund will be given if you cancel your registration for any reason prior the event start date. If Valiant Training Solutions cancels the event, a FULL refund will be given.

You may transfer your registration to another student but please email info@valiant-ts.com with the new registrant’s name and email and the order number attached.

REMINDER: Range Fees may be extra and can range from $10 to $25 depending on the range location and host. Be prepared to pay these fees on the first day of class.
